Something more... to become enlightened it's your mind that you need to lose. There is no mental step by step process you can use to become enlightened because you can't use your mind to escape your mind! Being a meditative guru and becomming enlightened or any normal person becomming enlightened still needs to make the same jump into losing the mind. The difference is when you meditate you can begin using the mind to meditate, then when you can do this you can use your practiced behaviour consciousness or your gut mind to do the same meditation, then because your mind is quietened the path becomes clearer. You make the jump with less (even though they may be more attractive) distractions.

This practiced behaviour consciousness is like walking. you don't need to think "how" to walk you just walk.

Just my thoughts anyhow!

Cheers,

MG says meditation techniques aren't needed and he is right just like when enlightened ones day 'enlightenment is easy' when infact it is the easiest thing to do in the world.

....HOWEVER..... although it is easy and not hard, it can be very difficult if you don't know how to get to that state. This is where GOOD meditation (not just relaxation) techniques come in. In doing them they show you the path to enlightenment. The reason enlightenment is 'easy' is because you don't need to do anything to reach it. Infact you've got to stop doing what you ARE doing to reach it. But the problem comes when you think you are doing nothing but in actual fact you are doing lots of things, and if you don't even realise you're doing them how are you supposed to stop doing them? Meditation techniques can show you what you 'are' doing so then you become more and more enlightened as to what you are doing (even when you think you are doing nothing) and you can stop doing them.

I think people can becomed enlightened in an enlightened one's presence, I saw a documentry about Sri Ramana Maharshi, the guy who wrote the 'who am i?' book, pretty famous enlightened dude, anyhow there was a lady on there who said she became enlightened just when she saw him. Didn't even need to look him in the eye or anything. I've seen other people reach that point for a moment too by looking in the eye of someone who was purposely trying to make them enlightened for that moment. I'd like to be able to do that one day.

Something else which is really fun is increasing the taste of food. When you eat something you really love and you get that feeling and taste you really love, just double it, then double it again, and keep on doubling it so that the feeling and the taste is just SOOO WONDERFUL!! Any bite of food you eat can be the most delicious mouthful you've tasted in your whole life! And there is no limit to it. The feeling can always keep on increasing and getting stronger!

And you can do this with everything not just eating.
The best things you've experienced in the past need only be the baseline of what you will experience in the future.

Be thrilled to the bone! :)

If there is hormonal cause then you must seek medical advice. Fitness is easy, just go for jogging or join a gym. You can program your body through hypnosis. Hypnosis combined with bodybuilding can give you very good result. You should also pay attention to proper diet. Meditation also reduce stress and helps you to stay fit. But if you think that the cause is hormonal then you should consider to take medical advice. You can gain or loose weight with the help of hypnosis and dieting. Regular exercise is very essential for everyone. At least do whatever is possible for you and you will find the way. If the cause of hormonal imbalance is psychological then it will disappear in meditation. Once you know your real nature many psychological and physical disorders will simply disappear. But if it seems a long way to you then seek medical advice.

Most of our energy is wasting in worrying and thinking. Most of the time we are not aware and in the moment. Mind is just wandering and that is really wastage of energy. When you live in the moment the mind remains silent and it respond to the situation spontaneously. It looks at the problems with a fresh look. Then you automatically get creative solutions to your problems. You feel more energetic. Most of the problems are created by ego, self centered thinking and prejudiced thinking. Energy is always there but it is flows in wrong direction when it is used by ego. You can live a totally problem free life from this moment. Forget about enlightenment and no-think states. If no thinking state doesn't come then also it is ok. Thoughts will be there, don't fight with them. When you don't give them energy by paying attention to the false needs created by ego, they will automatically vanish. You don't need to reach any state or you don't need to stop thinking. You just need to redirect the energy. Just come back from the mind to the present moment. Living moment to moment is very simple and natural state. All plants and animals are living that way. The only difference is that we have the mind and when you live moment to moment your mind has an order. It thinks in a very calm and relaxed way. It may help you in healing because many diseases are psychosomatic. When there is order and peace in mind then it will automatically accelerate the healing process. You don't have to force awareness on yourself. Whenever you remember just come back to the present moment and be watchful.
Your body has an intelligence. Trust that intelligence. Because it is natures intelligence. It knows how much energy you need and it balance itself all the time. You really don't need to do anything else. Don't interfere with its working. So called spiritual techniques actually create disturbance in this system. Just forget about all esoteric concepts, samadhi, enlightenment, chakra and all spirituality and your 99% journey is complete. Because then there will be no mind. Mind is filled with all this junk. Drop it, and move on with emptiness. You don't have to practice living moment to moment because there is nothing to achieve. Your body is already living in the moment, it is only the mind that is wandering in time. I say just be with the body. Body is already living in the moment. That's all.

Hi,

I don't know about kundalini too much but I've practiced alot of qigong/neigong. Reading the stuff on your website i agree with it all and you are obviously very wise but i wonder if you can shed some of your light onto the energy side of things.

It seems to me that when you cultivate energy the energy forces open blockages and when all the blockages (at least in your head) are open you get that 'no think' or enlightenment state. It makes it easier to reach that state also if you do like you say and stop thinking and just become aware of your surrounding... it is like killing your ego from 2 opposite directions.

However building up large amounts of energy i feel this is putting more stress on your organs, accelerating your metabolism while also increasing healing at the same time. If someone were to have an illness by using the chakras and energy one could circulate large amounts of energy (microcosmic orbit) in a 'not thinking' body to heal their body very quickly. However doing this for a long period of time could actually wear your body out. That's my thought.

Do you have any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

Ameya, my message is very simple 'live in the present with alertness' that's all. To avoid any confusion I keep everything to the point and compact. Yes I'll keep writing but it will not be too much :)
One should know how to protect himself on the streets. You don't need to become a master but at least you should be able to survive and protect your family. Ninjutsu is good but Krav maga and Systema are the best hand to hand combat systems for modern man. They are easier to learn then any traditional martial art. You can learn a lot from watching videos. My nephew (studying in 6th class) learned many techniques from Youtube videos and DVDs. Just focus on how to survive a street attack within 10 seconds. It is more important to develop a killer instinct then to just learning techniques. Be creative, you can use anything as a weapon. You can not carry a knife but you can use a pen or car keys. Imagine how personal items like suitcase, umbrella, walking stick, chair, office accessories, dining set can turn into deadly weapons. Use your imagination. Minimum and natural movements are always best. Lower kicks are good in real life situation. Practice peripheral view so that you can block punches and kicks from any direction. You don't need to become like a Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan. Just learn few easy and quick techniques and keep practicing. Know your limitations. Remember you are not going to kill anyone, you are just going to escape and run.
I think fast running is the best self defense technique for the common man :)
